Want to know about a festival before it is happening, make it to Summer Recess, or grab a volunteer shift when you have room? That is what PTO membership is for.

Membership Isn’t Just a Newsletter

The PTO cannot automatically add you to its membership or communication lists. School enrollment does not count as PTO membership, so each adult must complete the form separately.

  • A vote at PTO meetings. Each adult who completes the membership form has their own vote.
  • Opportunities to serve on PTO committees.
  • A voice in shaping PTO programs, events, and priorities.
  • A path toward a board or leadership role, whenever you feel ready.
  • Festival information while there is still time to make plans.
  • Updates about Summer Recess, family events, and all the dates that tend to sneak up.
  • One-time volunteer opportunities for whenever you have the time and energy to pitch in.

Becoming a member does not require you to attend meetings, volunteer, donate, or take on a leadership role. It simply keeps you connected and gives you a voice in the PTO.

Not every PTO member needs every kind of email. Each choice below covers a separate category of updates.

Receive UO Football Volunteer Booth emails?

Training, position, game-date, and booth updates. These are most frequent in August and September, then are generally event-specific.

Would you like to receive 週刊 ゆうじん便 / Yujin Weekly?

Tuesday PTO news with festivals, volunteer opportunities, and PTO meeting information.

Are you interested in being a classroom liaison?

Beginning-of-year coordination messages until this year’s liaisons are determined, then only if a new liaison is needed.

Are there any events you would like to help plan?

Choose a committee you are curious about. We will invite interested people when committees form; these choices do not otherwise generate additional emails.
